Ingredients:

  • 1/2 tsp (1 ml) black pepper seeds
  • 1/2 tsp (1 ml) dried mint
  • 1/2 tsp (1 ml) dried parsley

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, olive oil, onion, garlic, oregano, thyme, black peppercorns, black pepper seeds, dried mint, and dried parsley.
  2. Mix well and let marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight.
  3. Form the mixture into 1 kg (2.2 lbs) patties.
  4. Grill or pan-fry the patties over medium-high heat until cooked through.
  5. Serve hot with your favorite sides.

Tips:

  • For a more flavorful dish, add 1 tbsp (15 ml) of chopped fresh herbs, such as rosemary or thyme.
  • Serve with a dipping sauce, such as barbecue sauce or chimichurri.
  • Leftover beef can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
